I had to read it twice!
There it was, in the June 5 edition: the request by the Gibsons and District Public Library to add a second storey was declined, in part, because of “building height restrictions in Gibsons.”
Interesting, considering the building is just a block away from the waterfront development, which will be over 40 metres, but didn’t have to conform to the OCP building height restriction of 12 metres on the waterfront!
