Cyclists are people too

I have been a spokesman for fish most of my adult life, but now I am speaking on behalf of cyclists -the pedal kind.

Recently some people have begun to speak out and openly suggest that because of all the money being spent on bike lanes that it is time for some rules and regulations be applied to what some call "freeloaders."

Things like: a test of ability, both mental and physical, age limitation, the need for public liability insurance so the taxpayer will not have to pay and bike licenses.

I am hard pressed at times to respond to these mean and nasty outbursts and hope that enough pressure will be exerted on Sechelt council so that they will advise everyone that those who ride cycles are entitled to the free privileges, which they now enjoy so much.
