I feel I must write and complain about the smoking behaviour shown by the traffic control workers who continue to smoke on duty, and wave traffic on with their cigarette in hand. This is totally unacceptable. Many times this summer, with my car window open, I have had a blast of cigarette smoke blow into my vehicle, and as I am driving, there is nothing I can do about it.
Also, many cars passing these traffic workers contain young children – what kind of message is being sent to them? Never mind that they are smoking on the job – this must be the only job that allows workers to smoke on the job. And it needs to STOP!
