I arrived in Gibsons from England on Aug. 1 for a three-month stay and next week I leave for home.

I have been an avid reader of your paper and can't leave without telling all the residents of this beautiful place how proud you should be of everything Gibsons.

I joined the library, what a friendly place and open so many hours. I shopped in IGA and without fail everyone who worked there was helpful especially in my search for some strange English food!

I drank coffee in all the best places. I spent hours at Porpoise Bay Provincial Park and Roberts Creek beach park so clean and litter free.

I went to the pictures at Gibsons Cinema and wonder why the seats slope upwards. I even recycled all my tins and papers at the recycling centre.

I walked everyday in my quest to keep fit and believe me the hill on School Road gets no better after three months.

Never give up keeping Gibsons the lovely place it is, friendly, clean and the ideal retreat from all the stress of the city and beyond. I will be back next year to do it all over again.
