Christmas 2014 was one of the worst times of my life, for my mother Jean McKeating died very early Christmas morning. I am the niece of Violet Winegarden of Happy Cat Haven. Violet came with my sister Bonnie Garwood to be with and give comfort to our mother, Violet’s sister, almost to the end of Mom’s journey here.
Holding on to one another with phone calls through the very dreary month of January, what a shock it was to Bonnie and me to find that Axel Gringmugh had quietly arranged to take our Aunt Violet on a road trip, all expenses paid, through the mountains and valleys of the midlands of U.S., then staying in Nevada for Violet to see Las Vegas and area.
This trip has been called “a trip of a lifetime” and my family and I can’t thank Axel enough for the good and tireless care he took of Auntie. So, Axel, we take joy in publicly thanking you, over and over!
