"We have consulted across the district and driven the roads this evening. Main roads are passable but our many side roads are slippery and dangerous for our students, their families and our staff. Therefore, all SD 46 schools will be closed to students and staff tomorrow, Monday, February 11, 2019. Have a safe and enjoyable day."

The announcement is also available on the district's website: http://www.sd46.bc.ca/

Environment Canada posted a snowfall warning at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, with 10 to 25 centimetres anticipated to accumulate on the Sunshine Coast with the weather system continuing into Monday.
