Man dead after motorcycle crash on 101

Sunshine Coast RCMP and the and Sea to Sky Traffic Services are hoping to hear from anyone with information or dashcam footage after a fatal motorcycle crash in Roberts Creek on Tuesday, May 26.

RCMP said the motorcycle had been travelling toward Gibsons around 5:30 p.m.  when a vehicle pulled out of Largo Road, turning toward Sechelt.

The motorcycle struck the driver’s side of the vehicle, pushing the vehicle into the ditch.

Paramedics and Roberts Creek Fire Department members at the scene gave medical aid and CPR, but the 22-year-old man riding the motorcycle was pronounced dead.

The investigation is continuing and RCMP are asking anyone with information or camera images to contact them at 604-885-2266.
