Firefighters knock down car fire

The Sechelt fire department responded to a vehicle fire at the entrance to MacKenzie's Marina just before 6:30 p.m. on Sunday night, March 29.

According to the fire department, the driver of the car pulled his vehicle over when it began to smoke.

A total of 24 firefighters were on scene to extinguish the blaze.

Paramedics were on call in case of injuries, which none were reported and Sunshine Coast RCMP were on hand providing traffic control.

The exact cause of the fire is still not known.
