Investigators are working to determine the cause of a fire Wednesday night, Nov. 27, that destroyed a home on Wescan Road in Halfmoon Bay.
Halfmoon Bay Fire Chief Ryan Daley said the call came in around 9 p.m.
The mobile home on the property in the 9900 block is a “complete loss” and two cars parked in the driveway also caught fire.
Everyone in the home was able to get out safely.
A neighbour told Coast Reporter that firefighters did “a fabulous job” preventing the fire from spreading.
“It was a big fire – it was very scary,” she said. “It makes you realize we live in a forest. The flames were just shooting up from the trees. We will be doing some fire-proofing landscaping here soon.”
