The Sechelt & District Chamber of Commerce’s board of directors has named Ed Pednaud as interim executive director.

“Ed comes to us with a wealth of experience in the business sector here on the Sunshine Coast,” the Chamber said in a release. “Ed and his family have lived in Sechelt for the past six years, during which time Ed has become well known in the community as a professional who contributes time and energy to the positive growth of Sechelt.

“It is our goal that with Ed’s knowledge and experience combined with the vibrant enthusiasm of our board, we will continue to grow the Chamber membership while solidifying our profile as the number one resource for members to turn to for advocacy and support on the Coast during these unsettled times.”

The board thanked outgoing executive director Theressa Logan for “her commitment and advocacy on behalf of our members” during the past two years. “We wish her the best in her new endeavour as executive director with the Sechelt Downtown Business Association, particularly as we continue to collaborate on upcoming initiatives.”
