The fourth annual Black Boot event filled both sides of the Sechelt Legion Hall Nov. 17. The evening offered live music from local favourites Playback and The SoTight Band from Vancouver, abundant appetizers, and a silent auction with a diverse selection of generously donated items. The gala fundraiser supports the Ruby Slipper Fund that was established in 2009 to help those affected by cancer on the Coast, offering support groups, counselling and information about palliative care.
