Gibsons Minor Ball to host clinic

Gibsons Minor Ball Association will play host to a pre-season big league experience baseball clinic next weekend. On Friday, March 26, Peewee and Bantam players should register at Ryan Dempster field in Brothers Park between 3:30 and 4 p.m.

Gibsons Minor Ball Association will play host to a pre-season big league experience baseball clinic next weekend.

On Friday, March 26, Peewee and Bantam players should register at Ryan Dempster field in Brothers Park between 3:30 and 4 p.m., with on-field and inside instruction at Elphinstone Secondary School, taking place from 4 to 9 p.m.

Tadpole age participants should show up on Saturday, March 27, at 8:30 for registration with clinic instruction taking place from 9 a.m. to noon.

On the same day, Mosquito players will have registration from 12:30 to 1 p.m. with instruction from 1 to 5 p.m.Costs should be under $20 per player.

Coaches wishing to receive level one technical training should participate on Friday night from 6 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.

All workouts will be led by Marty Lehn, Colin Dickson and the Coast's own Gary Pennington.

Clinic organizers hope there will be time for a question and answer session with Lehn about the Canadian Olympic baseball teams' preparations for the upcoming Olympic games in Athens, Greece.
