Throughout the season, the Coasters Team played competitively in the Division 2 Burnaby Men’s League.
Sean Whalen, the popular experienced soccer player and coach, put together this squad with local talent from the Coast: Al Di Stefano, Kyle Hamilton, Trevor Hatfull, Andy Blattler, Giancarlo Corlazzoli, Evan Sorensen, Haden Bush, John Garmulewicz, Jordan Hoy, Devin McGuire and a few other players who live in Vancouver.
The culmination of their hard work and travel time paid off when the team won the Bradford Cup final, 4-1 against Real Burnaby on March 22 at the Burnaby Lakes Sports Field. Di Stefano was voted MVP not only from his team, but also for the Cup final game.
The team would like to extend their appreciation to manager Janine Pednault and Whalen for their tremendous work in organizing the team.
