The Construction Aggregates sponsored bantam Rapids picked up a doubleheader win in Powell River last weekend.
The first game was an exciting match with fast action and aggressive defence. It took eight full minutes for the first goal to be scored when Dustin Robinson showed off his quick stick, beating the Powell River goalie. This goal was quickly answered, and the score went back and forth until the end of the first, leaving Powell River up 3-2.
The Rapids opened it up in the second, scoring six goals to Powell River's two, and then doubling them again in the third 4-2 to earn the Rapids a 12-7 win.
The discipline of the Rapids was again evident, as they served only two penalty minutes to Powell River's 24.Kean Williams, Stephen Will-iams, Brian Green and Connor Mathews-Smith all scored a pair of goals, while singles were credited to Dustin Robinson, Colton Davies, Linden Feniak and Adam Goddard.
With only an hour and a half to rest, the Rapids staggered back onto the floor to meet with another Powell River team. Although they were visibly exhausted, the Rapids still managed an impressive 5-2 win.
Thompson Shelborn, Patrick Ellison, Adam, Brian and Colton scored the goals.
The bantam Rapids play at home on Saturday against New West.
