• The Sechelt Indian Band (SIB) has opened their hall and is serving firefighters breakfast and dinner daily. The SIB is accepting donations towards the meals and is coordinating the effort through the Facebook page titled Sechelt Forest Fire Support Services For Fire Fighters.
• The Sechelt Fish Market is taking donations of homemade goodies and gifts for crews battling the fire, daily during store hours. Mokie Burnham has set up a way to deliver the gifts to firefighters at their base of operations and she does so regularly.
• Embellish Emporium at the IGA Plaza in Gibsons is accepting donations and condolence cards for the family of fallen logger John Phare, daily during store hours.
• Financial donations for the family can also be made at the Sunshine Coast Credit Union by way of the John Phare account or online through www.gofundme.com/johnpharememorial. Both accounts were started in an attempt to lessen the financial burden on the family at this time.
