Residents on the South Pender water service area between Pope and Hassan roads had their water shut off because of a broken watermain on Monday, Dec. 17.
The disruption of service was expected to last for three hours, starting at 9 a.m. but according to Sunshine Coast Regional District communications officer Cecilia Garcia, the water service was restored by 11 a.m.
No cause was provided for why the watermain was damaged.
