St. Hilda’s Anglican Church is hosting a public lecture on Saturday, March 25 at 7 p.m. on the topic of Christianity and “unitive wisdom.”
“Keynote speaker Matthew Wright, an emerging leading light in the field of inter-spirituality, will explore the unitive and contemplative wisdom at the heart of the teachings of Jesus,” the church said in a release.
“Particular attention will be paid to the recovery and meaning of the early Christian Wisdom literature, the Gospel of Thomas and the Gospel of Mary Magdalene.”
Rev. Wright is an Episcopal priest from Woodstock, N.Y., a writer, retreat leader and past presenter at the annual Science and Non-Duality Conferences in California. This month he is leading a four-day retreat on Bowen Island from March 26 to 30.
All are welcome to the lecture, admission by donation ($10 to $15 suggested), free for all full-time students.
St. Hilda’s Church is located at 5838 Barnacle St. in Sechelt beside Rockwood Centre. For more information, call Paula Selmayr at 778-458-2151.
