Two plead guilty in Golden City break-in

On Monday, June 7, Robert Earhart, 23 and Malcolm Paul, 21, appeared before Judge Gedye. According to Crown counsel Marian West, Earhart and Paul both entered guilty pleas and were both given a suspended sentence and 12 months probation by Gedye.

The other two suspects, Dorian James, 22 and a 17-year-old female, who cannot be named due to her age, are each facing a break-in charge and will both make their first appearances in court on June 30.

Sunshine Coast RCMP Cpl. Don Newman said the Golden City break-in is one of several that have occurred in the downtown area of Sechelt in recent weeks. He said further investigation is ongoing to determine what involvement if any the charged suspects may have had with other as yet unsolved break and enters.
