The Sunshine Coast Travel Ambassador program is getting set for another season of greeting visitors on the ferry passengers bound for the Sunshine Coast, and the group is looking for new volunteers.
The commitment is one half-day a week on the Horseshoe Bay to Langdale ferry run. The Ambassadors greet visitors, answer their questions and hand out information about things to do and see on the Sunshine Coast.
The program usually has about 30 members, but right now there are only 24 volunteers signed up, so they’re looking for six new volunteers who can be trained before the season starts on Easter weekend.
The Travel Ambassador program runs from Easter to the week after Thanksgiving, and is funded through grants from local governments.
