The fifth annual Backroad Trash Bash, held this year in the Roberts Creek area, resulted in 2.69 tonnes of garbage being removed from forests accessible by dirt roads. A total of 37 volunteers came out to the Trash Bash and cleaned up 19 different sites despite the rainy weather on Sept. 17. Members of the Conservation Officer Service (COS) pitched in. Pictured is Dean Miller of the COS with a truckload of trash that includes remnants of a couch dumped in the woods.
