Sunshine Coast-Powell River incumbent NDP MLA Nicholas Simons launched his election campaign on Saturday, Feb. 18 in the Sechelt Band Hall, where about 100 people gathered for the annual general meeting of the local NDP riding association and a potluck that followed.
Andy Johnson opened the event with drumming and a welcome song and MLA Rob Fleming, the NDP’s education critic, was guest speaker.
