A Sechelt man is facing 15 charges related to what police describe as “a crime spree that spread over several days and multiple jurisdictions between the Sunshine Coast and the Lower Mainland.”

RCMP said once incident occurred on Nov. 26 when a suspect broke into a home and assaulted and threatened the homeowners, and another occurred on Nov. 22, when the same suspect stole a vehicle and caused thousands of dollars in damage.

After an investigation by Sunshine Coast RCMP, charges were formally laid against Ryan Ronald Robinson, 27.

Police say Robinson has been released on bail with strict conditions, with a community bail supervisor and Sunshine Coast RCMP monitoring him for compliance.

His next appearance in Sechelt provincial court is set for Jan. 13, 2021.

In a Dec. 10 release, Sunshine Coast RCMP said they have responded to “an increase in serious calls for service” over the past several weeks and “officers have been working diligently to put the evidence together to support charges and hold offenders accountable.”
