With spring in the offing, the District of Sechelt has put out the call for seasonal mobile vendors interested in setting up at Davis Bay and Kinnikinnick Park.
The district doesn’t have a set fee, and the rent being offered by the vendor will be one of the factors in choosing who gets the licence.
Other factors the district says it will be looking at include environmental impact and social impact, such as the use of local food and nutritional information.
The request for proposal documents say, “The District of Sechelt intends to select the proposal that best serves the interests of the District of Sechelt, as determined by the District of Sechelt.”
Several food trucks have set up at the Davis Bay location since the district adopted new mobile vendor bylaws in 2011, but none has become a permanent fixture.
Interested vendors need to have their paperwork filed by 2 p.m. on Feb. 28.
