B.C. Election

Cascadia Party candidate Reuben Richards of Powell River will be back in court May 30 for an arraignment hearing.

Richards faces charges that include four counts of uttering threats, five counts of criminal harassment, one count of causing a disturbance and one count of possession of a controlled substance tied to alleged incidents between April 3 and 15.

Court records show he was released on bail after a May 2 court appearance.

Richards is still listed as a candidate by Elections BC, and will be on the ballot May 9.

He has not responded to Coast Reporter’s request for an update on the status of his campaign.
