Retired RCMP officer Earl Moulton – past chair of the VisionQuest Recovery Society and an advocate for restorative justice – will be addressing the Sunshine Coast community on Jan. 26 on the issue of restorative justice.
After 30 years of enforcement, investigation into major crime, emergency response and security, the policing of cyberspace and significant collaboration with First Nations to develop protocols and implementation of both restorative justice and alternative measures, Moulton has spent the last 10 years supporting addiction recovery. He brings his diversity of experiences and perspectives together to talk about how “restorative justice is the way to get different results by doing things differently.”
The Restorative Justice Program of the Sunshine Coast invites the public to the shíshálh First Nation Hall on Thursday, Jan. 26. There will be a short AGM at 7 p.m. to receive the annual report for 2016 and to elect the board of directors for 2017, followed by a special presentation by Moulton at 7:30 p.m.
