Sunshine Coast RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance after a second incident of planter theft this month.

RCMP said Monday that two unique planters made by B.C. artist Robert Bateman were stolen recently from a home in the 5900 block of Sandy Hook Road.

Anyone with information is asked to contact RCMP.

Meanwhile, a planter reported stolen from in front of Town Hall in Gibsons has been recovered.

The planter, one of two cedar boxes hand-built by the Town’s parks crew, disappeared sometime between March 8 and 11.

Town officials said via Facebook March 14 that “the planter has been tracked down and returned to its rightful location.”
