Sunshine Coast RCMP have released some details of an assault that happened in Gibsons in mid-April.
RCMP say they responded to a call to assist a 33-year-old man who had suffered serious injuries around 7:10 a.m. on April 18. The man’s injuries were the result of an aggravated assault.
“Police attended the home in the 600 block of North Road and arrested two males known to the victim and police,” Const. Karen Whitby said in a release. “The victim was taken to hospital and is recovering from his injuries.”
RCMP are calling the crime a “targeted assault” and said everyone involved knows each other and the risk to the general public is low.
