Two Sechelt men are in police custody charged with break and enter following an attempted break-in at a Sechelt restaurant last week.
On July 5 at approximately 3:45 a.m., Sunshine Coast RCMP were dispatched to a report of a break and enter at Lucky's Smokehouse on Wharf Road in Sechelt.
"Upon arriving, police saw that the front window of the business had been smashed and that the suspects were no longer on seen," said detachment media liaison Cpl. Steve Chubey in a news release. "Scene examination revealed a large quantity of blood originating inside the business, leaving a trail outside. Police followed the blood trail to an area off Kwetlin Avenue, before the blood trail stopped."
Chubey said police identified and arrested two suspects shortly after the offence through evidence collected at the scene. The suspects did not make out with any stolen items.
Darren Tyler Johnson (31) and Brett Gabriel Jensen (23) of Sechelt were arrested and have both been charged with break and enter and have been remanded in custody.
