The public will have an opportunity to meet Sunshine Coast Regional District (SCRD) directors and staff at an open house on Thursday, May 24.
Held to mark Local Government Awareness Week (May 20 to 26), the open house will run from 1 to 4 p.m. at the SCRD offices, 1975 Field Road in Sechelt, and will include information showcasing the SCRD’s many services and programs.
“The open house is a great opportunity for residents to ask questions in an open environment, and learn about some of the services we provide, such as drinking water, waste management, bikeways, emergency planning, land-use planning, fire protection, recreation and parks,” Janette Loveys, SCRD chief administrative officer, said in a release.
The public is also invited to attend the board meeting taking place the same day at 1:30 p.m.
