There was a steady stream of pump trucks in and out of Sechelt’s Water Resource Centre earlier this week.

District officials said polymer that accidentally got into the sewer treatment plant’s influent wet well, primary tank and the reactor tanks in the greenhouse had to be removed.

The operation was expected to take one or two days.

The district has not said what the source of the polymer contamination was.
