Police seek help to identify suspects in Gibsons cannabis shop break-in

Sunshine Coast RCMP have released surveillance images of two suspects in a recent break-in at a lower Gibsons cannabis shop. On Feb. 13 at 1:45 a.m. police were dispatched to an alarm at Coastal Bay Cannabis at 446 Marine Dr.

On Feb. 13 at 1:45 a.m. police were dispatched to an alarm at Coastal Bay Cannabis at 446 Marine Dr. Two suspects had pried open the door and were in and out of the business within two minutes.

Police say “a small amount of product” was stolen during the break-in.

One suspect is described as about 6-2 and was wearing a black jacket, grey hoodie, baseball cap, black pants and shoes with white soles. The suspect was also carrying a bright orange cooler bag.

The other suspect was wearing a backpack and is described as about 5-8 and was wearing a black Nike Mike Jordan jacket, light-coloured jeans, and a baseball cap with an emblem on the brim.

Anyone who can assist in identifying either of the two suspects is asked to call the RCMP at 604-885-2266 or CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-8477.

Coastal Bay Cannabis was issued a provincial retail licence last summer.
