Suspicious Circumstances
• At around 9 p.m. on June 19, RCMP were called by a concerned citizen after seeing a male with a bloody face leaning on a vehicle on Medusa Street in Sechelt. Police spoke to the male, who was intoxicated and had clearly suffered a recent facial injury. After determining that the male was not violent, paramedics were called and the male was transported to hospital for treatment. It is believed that the injury may have resulted from the male’s intoxication rather than an assault.

Scam
• On June 17, a Coast resident reported a Craigslist fraud after sending an e-transfer to secure what turned out to be an invalid rental address on the Coast. The resident, who hadn’t realized the rental address was fake until after sending the funds, tried to contact the “owner” who purportedly lived in the U.S. But there was no response and the ad was then taken down.
