Dozens of hardy souls splashed into the ocean at the Polar Bear Swim at Davis Bay Jan. 1, and hundreds more cheered them on from shore. The annual event was hosted by the Sunshine Coast Lions Club, and members of the Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue were on standby.
