Open houses start phase two of future planning

The 'Transit Future Bus' is coming back to the Sunshine Coast following phase one consultations that were held in December. Look for the bus at upcoming community events including the Gibsons Landing Jazz Festival and the Sechelt Night Market.

The 'Transit Future Bus' is coming back to the Sunshine Coast following phase one consultations that were held in December.

Look for the bus at upcoming community events including the Gibsons Landing Jazz Festival and the Sechelt Night Market.

The 'Transit Future Bus' is a 40-foot interactive consultation tool that includes educational displays highlighting area specific transit needs, priorities and concerns. The Sunshine Coast Regional District and BC Transit want to reconfirm the findings of phase one with their customers and stakeholders, before making planning recommendations about routes, schedules and service hours.

Open houses will be held the following days:

June 14 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. at Harmony Hall Seniors Activity Centre, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Gibsons municipal hall.

June 15 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Jazz Festival (Gower Point Road).

June 16 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Gibsons Sunnycrest Mall.

June 17 from 6:20 a.m. to noon aboard the Langdale-Horseshoe Bay ferry, and 3 to 6 p.m. at Marketplace IGA in Pender Harbour.

June 18 from 7:10 to 11:05 a.m. aboard the Langdale to Gambie and Keats islands ferry and from noon to 5 p.m. at the Canadian Tire in Wilson Creek.

June 19 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Sechelt senior's centre, and 2 to 6 p.m. at Trail Bay Mall in Sechelt.

June 20 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Sechelt Night Market.
