Nohr soon out of hospital

SCRD

Sunshine Coast Regional District (SCRD) chair Garry Nohr expects to be released from a Vancouver hospital soon, according to his wife Patricia Anderson.

Nohr is recovering from a heart attack he suffered June 25.

In an update for local media this week, Anderson said doctors have determined that Nohr will not require surgery and will be eligible for release as soon as he and his doctors work out an “individualized cardio management plan.”

Nohr will take the rest of July off from his SCRD duties, with Area A director Frank Mauro stepping in as chair and Area B alternate director Brian Smith taking Nohr’s place at the board table representing Halfmoon Bay. SCRD directors do not meet in August.

Anderson said that out of continuing concern for privacy, the family asks that any requests for updates and visitation be directed to her via email at [email protected]
