More Canada Post community mailboxes have been targeted.
Sunshine Coast RCMP were called on Jan. 2 to the 6300 block of Gale Avenue North in Sechelt after two Canada Post community mail parcel boxes were found damaged and open.
“The suspect sawed off a padlock and then used a pry tool to gain entry. It is unknown if anything was actually stolen,” RCMP said.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact RCMP, reference file 2018-30.
A rash of community mailbox break-ins occurred before Christmas at sites in Sechelt, Halfmoon Bay and Madeira Park.
