A motorcyclist received minor injuries after colliding with a deer on Sunday afternoon in Sechelt.
On July 21 Sunshine Coast RCMP responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision on Rat Portage Hill on Highway 101 where a motorcyclist collided with a deer.
"The motorcyclist was riding with another motorcyclist and had been travelling northbound towards Sechelt when two deer entered the roadway," said Cpl. Steve Chubey in a media release. "One of the motorcycles was able to brake in time, the other attempted to brake and veer away from the deer, but to no avail, striking the deer and spilling his bike on its side. The motorcyclist sustained minor injuries and was taken to St. Mary's Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Damage to the bike was minor."
