About 70 people gathered at Mission Point Park in Davis Bay for the Sunshine Coast Hospice Society’s annual Light the Memories ceremony on Jan. 1.
The Rev. Bob Smith – accompanied by the Threshold Choir – officiated the traditional burning of the notes from the Lights of Life trees, which contained memories of loved ones who have moved on from this life.
