About two-dozen people attended the Workers Day of Mourning ceremonies at Dougall Park in Gibsons on April 28.
Speakers touched on several topics including the recent fatal accident involving a logging train near Woss on Vancouver Island, and combating bullying and harassment in the workplace.
Gibsons has the only permanent monument to fallen workers on the Sunshine Coast.
