Harbour Air Seaplanes has recently received a Traveller Experience of the Year award from the Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC) due to their focus on hospitality and customer service.

“We are truly honoured to be recognized by this national organization for such a prestigious accomplishment,” said Harbour Air founder and CEO Greg McDougall.

“I want to thank our employees for their incredible dedication to creating exceptional travel experiences and providing a high level of customer service for our guests.”

The Visa Canada Traveller Experience of the Year award is presented to the tourism business or organization that creates the year’s most exceptional tourism product, service or experience centred on the fundamental principles of hospitality and customer service.

The judging criteria looks at five equally weighted areas: management, leadership and organizational commitment; research, information and analysis; employee customer service development; problem solving and responsiveness; and product development.

Harbour Air Seaplanes was recognized by the TIAC for “its commitment to provide guests with the best possible experience, in a safe, professional and friendly environment.”

Harbour Air was one of 14 organizations across Canada to receive a TIAC Canadian Tourism Award this year.

The company operates a fleet of Canadian-made de Havilland Beaver, Single Otter and Twin Otter seaplanes and has been in business for over 33 years.

Annually Harbour Air Seaplanes transports over 400,000 passengers throughout coastal British Columbia.

The Canadian Tourism Awards are presented annually by the TIAC to recognize success, leadership and innovation in Canada’s tourism industry.
