The Sunshine Coast Community Foundation (SCCF) will join five of its Sea to Sky region counterparts in hosting Governor General David Johnston in West Vancouver on Thursday, March 3.
The event – scheduled from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Kay Meek Centre for the Performing Arts, 1700 Mathers Ave. – will include an address by Johnston and a panel discussion with speakers from the region.
“As we approach our country’s 150th birthday, the Governor General has challenged Canadians to envision a better world, where all Canadians can succeed, contribute and develop their talents to their fullest potential,” the SCCF said in a press release.
Tickets must be reserved in advance, and the SCCF anticipates that seats for this free public event will go quickly.
