Rebecca Anderson will be replacing Lindsey Grist as Town of Gibsons corporate services director starting Feb. 1.
The temporary replacement will last 14 months as Grist takes maternity leave.
Anderson, a licenced lawyer, served as chief administrative officer (CAO) for the Village of Lytton from August 2016 to July 2020.
“During my time as CAO for the Village of Lytton, I found that I am particularly well-suited to local government and enjoy it immensely,” said Anderson in a Jan. 21 release announcing her appointment. “I am very much looking forward to working with staff and Council at the Town of Gibsons, as well as getting to know the community.”
Gibsons CAO Emanuel Machado said Anderson will be “a great fit” for the administration.
“She brings a wide range of skills to the role, including as a mediator and in drafting legal opinions, bylaws, policies and contracts. We welcome her future contributions.”
