Shíshálh Chief Warren Paull speaks at the funeral for Stan Dixon. The former chief and shíshálh elder was laid to rest July 27 following a ceremony at the shíshálh Nation longhouse attended by nearly 300 people. Dixon, who died July 17 at the age of 77, is survived by his brother Francis, wife Lori, son Dwayne, daughters Sherry, Denise, Lori Vanessa, and Krista as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
