The Sunshine Coast Food Bank in Sechelt is adding Wednesday evening hours as part of a three-month trial, the Sunshine Coast Community Services Society has announced.
A recent survey found that 11 per cent of the people participating in the Food Bank’s food distribution program were challenged to get to the facility at 5657 Lamprey Lane during the regular daytime hours.
In addition to the Tuesday and Wednesday 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. time slots, the Food Bank will be open from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. every Wednesday starting April 4.
If you are not registered with the Sunshine Coast Food Bank and you feel that you could use some assistance, please visit their location Monday to Thursday, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with one piece of identification including your physical address.
