Pender Harbour volunteer firefighters and marine Search and Rescue members held a cross-training session at the Pender Harbour Aquatic Centre on Feb. 8.
The training was focused on teamwork between the two groups, practising water rescue, lifting heavy objects from the water, swimming under objects with a life jacket on, tossing a life preserver accurately, stretcher carries and allowing the firefighters to practise with their gear in the water.
It was deemed a fun evening and the two teams worked seamlessly together.
