Ferry schedule expands Dec. 22

Starting Dec. 22, BC Ferries schedules have been expanded on the three routes utilizing the Horseshoe Bay terminal, including Horseshoe Bay to Langdale, BC Ferries announced Dec. 12.

The ferry company says the move will allow more in-dock time during the peak holiday period in order to maintain on-time performance.

Due to the major construction project at the Langdale terminal in January, the expanded Langdale schedule will continue beyond the holidays.

Dec. 23 is expected to be the busiest pre-Christmas travel day. Post-Christmas, heavy traffic is expected Dec. 26 to 28, with Dec. 27 expected to be the busiest day of the holiday season.
