At approximately 4:34 am on January 23, Powell River RCMP responded to a car fire in the parking lot of a business in the 4400 block of Joyce Avenue.
Police attended and located a black Infiniti G35, which had sustained significant fire damage to the engine compartment. Evidence collected on scene indicated that the vehicle fire had been started on purpose.
