BC Lions football players Jordan Herdman and Claudell Louis paid a visit to Elphinstone Secondary April 2 to give a workshop about how to prevent violence against women, as part of a community outreach tour. Lions Players were scheduled to visit schools across the Lower Mainland the first week of April. The program is a collaboration between the CFL team and Ending Violence BC that gives people the tools to deal with gender-based violence. Both players said they joined the program because of personal experiences with domestic violence. “I have the responsibility to stand up with women and break the silence of violence against women,” Herdman said.
