This T-shirt was hooked in the waters off Gospel Rock with a male human rib bone inside in July 2010.

Sunshine Coast RCMP are seeking the public’s help to solve a seven-year-old cold case.

In July 2010, a fisherman hooked a T-shirt with human rib bone inside while fishing in the waters off Gospel Rock in Gibsons.

DNA analysis has shown that the rib belonged to a male, but the DNA has not been matched to any report of a missing person.

The T-shirt had a graphic of two eagles with the words “GIBSONS British Columbia, Canada.”

Police are requesting the public’s assistance with any information about this shirt, including who may have worn it, information from a retailer who may recognize it as a product they sold or a purchaser who may have given the item as a gift.

If you have information, call 604-885-2266 and reference file 2010-4949.
