A story in the March 2 print edition of Coast Reporter says Health Minister Adrian Dix will be on the Sunshine Coast Saturday, March 3 to speak at the Powell River-Sunshine Coast NDP constituency association AGM ('Dix to speak on Coast', Page 5). There is also a Community Calendar listing for the event.
We have since been informed that the AGM will not be held Mar. 3 as planned, in part because the state memorial service for former premier Dave Barrett will be taking place that day in Victoria.
Powell River-Sunshine Coast MLA Nicholas Simons said the constituency association and Dix are still working to arrange an alternate date which should be announced soon.
We did not become aware of the cancellation until after the deadline for our print edition.
